24 Talin Cathedral

Talin Cathedral (in the professional literature it is mentioned as the big temple of Talin) is a three-chamber domed church of the basilica type in the north-western part of the Talin settlement in the Aragatsotn province. It represents a unique combination of a basilic and cruciform church, built in the middle of the 7th century. The cathedral belongs to the type of dome basilica. Its external decoration is distinguished by magnificent sculptures.

25. Cathedral of Holy Mother of God "The Seven Wounds"

The Cathedral of Holy Mother of God or the "Seven Wounds" is located in Gyumri, Shirak region. It was built in 1874-1886 and is located in the center of the city on Vardanants square. The church is the residence of the Diocese of Shirak.

The official name of the Church is St. Maria, but to local residents it is known as the "Seven Wounds", in honor of Virgin Mary, where the Virgin is represented with seven wounds. The walls of the church are decorated with frescoes of high artistic value.

26. Marmashen Monastery

Monastery Marmashen is a monument located on the left bank of the Akhuryan River in the southwestern part of Vahramaberd village in Akhuryan region. The monastery consists of two buildings, the main temple and two adjacent churches. According to the inscription, the main temple was built by Prince Vahram Pahlavuni in 988-1029, when Ani was the lot of the Bagratuni dynasty. Vahram Pahlavuni left on the wall of the church a large certificate, which has survived to our days.

Monastery Marmashen was a famous religious and cultural center of Armenia. It is one of the most valuable complexes of Armenian architecture.

27 Sacred place of St. Gregory the Illuminator of Sarnaghpyur

Sarnaghpyur is a village in the south-eastern part of the Shirak region of Armenia, 34 km south of the regional center. There are a number of historical monuments in the village, which probably indicate that this territory was inhabited. The main pilgrimage place in the village is the Church of St. Lazarus.

In the center of the village there are the churches of St. Tadevos (1883), St. Hakob (V-VI centuries) and St. Karapet (1205). Near the village there is the complex of Ogevank monastery (V-XIII cc.), 6 km to the east there is St. Lazarus church (V-VI cc.), the fortress "Gndakar" (1st millennium BC) and "Berdik "(2nd millennium BC). In 1883 Apostle Tadevos church was built, which operates to this day.
